Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

I. STRUCTURE
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; introduction, main texts (materials and methods, results, discussion); conclusion; acknowledgments; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Please supply a short biographical note for each author (no more than 200 words).

II. WORD COUNT
A typical paper for this journal should be between 6000 and 12,000 words.
Book reviews should be between 2,000-4,000 words.

III. STYLE GUIDELINES
Authors should submit their manuscripts via submission system by clicking on the "Make a Submission" button on the right sidebar and following the steps.
Manuscripts should follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition.
It is the responsibility of the author to obtain written permission (including payment of fees) to reprint or reproduce any material (including text, charts, tables, photographs, illustrations, etc.) that is under copyright, and to supply such permissions with the manuscript.

IV. PUNCTUATION
Please use double quotation marks, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation.” Place full stops and commas inside the quotation marks. Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks as a separate insertion.
Use italics for titles of books, newspapers, journals and pamphlets, as well as for non-English words.

V. NUMBERS
Up to ninety-nine in words, 100 upwards in numerals.
Eleven per cent in text, 11% in tables and figures.
7,000; 41,000.
